Mac Application Developer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement Mac applications using Swift and Objective-C, ensuring compatibility with the latest macOS versions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces that adhere to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
• Optimize application performance, focusing on speed, memory usage, and battery efficiency for Mac users.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality, such as cloud storage or authentication systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to foster best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in macOS development and propose innovative features for upcoming projects.
• Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Support the deployment and update processes through the Mac App Store or enterprise distribution channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Mac application development.
• Proven track record of shipping successful Mac apps, with portfolio examples preferred.
• Strong understanding of Apple's development ecosystem, including Xcode and AppKit.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative tools such as Jira or Trello.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where App Jeevan operates.
