Senior Android Developer

App Jeevan is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Android Developer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance Android applications that empower our users and align with our mission to deliver cutting-edge mobile solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, user-friendly apps, mentor junior developers, and drive technical excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Android applications for the App Jeevan platform.
• Architect scalable, modular, and maintainable code using best practices and modern design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define app features and ensure seamless integration with APIs and external services.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness across a wide range of Android devices and OS versions.
• Conduct thorough testing, including unit tests and UI tests, to ensure robustness, reliability, and a high crash-free rate.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies, and integrate them into our development process where applicable.
• Review and contribute to app architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, maintaining high-quality code standards.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and maintenance of code repositories to ensure clean, efficient, and reusable code.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Android app development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): Google Associate Android Developer (AAD) or other relevant Android certifications.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development.
• In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries for seamless integration with external services.
• Expertise in Android UI/UX design principles, including Jetpack Compose, Material Design, and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with multi-module architecture, MVVM, and other modern design patterns.
• Experience with AIDL (Android Interface Definition Language) and inter-process communication.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of databases such as SQLite and experience with ORM libraries.
• Familiarity with cloud services like Firebase or AWS for mobile app development.
• Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, including app publishing on the Google Play Store.
